In 2005, a vision was cast among a group of Christians in a small church in Brantford to fill a need among an often overlooked demographic of the city. Serving families
with children who are "at risk", it was
started with a March
Break Camp, providing kids from kindergarten to
grade 8 an opportunity to experience the hope and love
of a God that many had not even heard about.
Over the years, the camp grew, seeing over 180 kids in attendance, with over 100
volunteers serving from local churches and other
organizations.
In 2009, Creation Force Ministries became a part of the
Jacob's Well Ministries family, continuing on the
original vision and mission of Jacob's Well, working
with the local churches in the city in order to help
change lives, and help people experience the love of
God.
The ministry in Brantford expanded to include 'Back-To-School' carnivals in several locations in the city, providing backpacks with school supplies, school snacks, haircuts, clothing, facepainting, barbeque, cotton candy, popcorn, sno-cones, and bouncy-castle rides, all for free.
It was exciting to work in tandem with churches, as well as the city of Brantford and the Family and Children Services of Brant, in these projects.
